Cheri Bustos’ favorite Pelosi Super PAC

January 30, 2013

Yesterday, Cheri Bustos was put on blast for starring in a House Majority PAC advertisement thanking Nancy Pelosi’s SUPER PAC for dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars in negative ads to support her in her bid for Congress. Digging deeper into the Bustos/House Majority PAC relationship, QCPundit.com found that Cheri Bustos and the House Majority PAC have had a long, incestuous relationship.

From the QC Pundit:

“1. According to the Federal Election Commission, Cheri Bustos paid Ralston-Lapp Media a total of $55,782 during the 2012 election cycle.

2. Ralston-Lapp Media is run by John Lapp who served as Bustos’ general consultant for the 2012 cycle. Lapp was a critical partner to Rahm Emanuel in the 2006 mid-term elections.

3. John Lapp is married to Ali Lapp.

4. Ali Lapp runs House Majority Pac, which spent almost $600,000 to get Bustos elected.

5. Further, Ralston-Lapp makes no mention of Bustos on their site. You’d think that they would be promoting the heck out of her since she was one of their only successful House races this cycle.”

This isn’t the first time Cheri has been called out over her relationship with House Majority PAC.

So with all the scrutiny for months surrounding her relationship with House Majority PAC, why hasn’t Cheri Bustos set the record straight?

NRCC Statement: “Cheri Bustos’ silence on this matter is very troubling. If there has been no wrong doing or illegal coordination surely Bustos would have addressed the situation. Her continued dodging of the issue makes it clear that she isn’t walking the line on this one.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Katie Prill
