Cause: Last week, a troubling 54% of voters said President Obama is more interested in growing government than reducing the national debt.1
Effect: This week, new data from Pew shows an almost equal 53% believe the federal government is a threat to their own personal rights and freedoms. This marks the first time since 1995, as recorded by Pew, a majority of Americans feel their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is endangered by an overreaching federal government.
