Obama Wants More Taxes to Replace the Sequester He Came Up With

Today, President Obama used his failure to submit a budget on time as an excuse to push for even more job-killing taxes to replace the sequester. After originally threatening to veto any attempt to replace the automatic spending cuts, it’s curious that he is now trying to delay them. House Republicans have voted to replace the sequester with spending reforms twice already.

This is especially poignant considering the sequester was the White House’s idea in the first place. Speaker Boehner’s spokesman Brendan Buck pointed out a passage from Bob Woodward’s book, The Price of Politics, which features exact quotes from Democratic sources showing the White House came up with the sequester:

When it comes to blaming others, President Obama  is the master. However, this time, we have the proof in writing.
