#SOTU Fact Check: Obamacare Raising Healthcare Costs

President Obama said tonight:

“Already, the Affordable Care Act is helping to slow the growth of health care costs.”

 

While that may sound good, it is not even close to being true. In fact, healthcare costs are rising–and rising fast.

Take it from Jonathan Gruber–one of Obamacare’s architects–admitted that premiums are rising.

Independent analysts are also concurring that out-of-pocket costs for consumers are rising.

President Obama can try and claim that Obamacare is lowering costs, but consumers, analysts, and even those who wrote the law, know better.
