Rep. DeFazio Calls For Higher Gas Prices

Despite gas prices on the rise for 33 consecutive days and reaching almost $4.00 a gallon in Eugene, OR, Democratic Congressman Peter DeFazio (OR-04) is prepared to raise the gas tax on consumers, asking for MORE of their hard earned money. From Politico:

“That would have a minuscule impact on people,” DeFazio said. “I drive to a gas station on the way to work, and they’re jacking up the price by 10 cents a gallon…There would be acceptance of something as modest as that if [people] also knew what the benefits were going to be.”
