AM MUST READ: Dem’s Running Scared From Obama
Alex Isenstadt of Politico has a must read piece out this morning on Democrats running scared from President Obama.
The 2014 election are shaping up to be a tough fight for many vulnerable Democrats. As they try to remake their record from liberal lapdogs, President Obama and his left-wing agenda is getting thrown under the bus.
Isenstadt writes that “Obama’s political choices, they say, reflect a tone-deafness to the challenges they face competing for moderate and conservative-leaning seats.”
He continues on to say that prospective candidates and party strategists are increasingly worried that the White House’s “liberal tack” will invigorate Republicans across the country and hamper candidates running in swing districts.
The election is well over a year and a half away and already Democrats are shaking in their boots. President Obama—emboldened by his reelection—is freed from further election and is committed to cementing a liberal legacy.
If the next year is anything like the past two months, Democrats should be fearful. Obama and Nancy Pelosi may be a lot lonelier on Capitol Hill if this keeps up.
