No Spending Problem? No Debt Crisis? Dems Refuse To Accept Reality

  • In an interview with ABC News, President Obama inexplicably said he didn’t believe our country is in a debt crisis.

  • This comes on the heels of leading Democrats ranging from Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Tom Harkin denying the fact that our country has a spending problem.

  • As our debt grows to $16.7 trillion, this ridiculous statement shows, yet again, how out-of-touch Democrats are with our country’s fiscal challenges.

  • America’s debt crisis isn’t like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster. It’s a mathematical fact. It’s time Democrats accept reality.

Yesterday, President Obama Denied That Our Country Has A Debt Crisis. “And, so, we don’t have an immediate crisis in terms of debt. In fact, for the next ten years, it’s gonna be in a sustainable place.” (“Transcript: President Obama’s Exclusive Interview With George Stephanopoulos,” ABC News, 3/13/13)

Nancy Pelosi Said It Was A “False Argument” To Say We Have Spending Problem. “House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Sunday downplayed concerns about federal spending levels, arguing that Republicans’ laserlike focus on budget cuts is misplaced. ‘It isn’t as much a spending problem as it is priorities,’ Mrs. Pelosi, California Democrat, said on ‘Fox News Sunday.’ ‘It is almost a false argument to say that we have a spending problem.’ she added” (Ben Wolfgang, “Pelosi: Federal Government Doesn’t Have A Spending Problem,” The Washington Times, 2/10/13)
