Liberals Line Up For Elizabeth Colbert Busch

April 8, 2013

Elizabeth Colbert Busch’s campaign for Congress has become Democratic flypaper over the last few days—liberals from across the country are attaching themselves to it and trying either to use it to boost their own ambitions or ensure that President Obama has another rubberstamp in the House.

Her upcoming Washington fundraiser reads like an all-star team of higher taxes, perpetual deficits, and a stagnating middle class.

Politico is reporting DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, Minnesota Senator Al Franken, and Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley are racing to finance Colbert Busch’s campaign.

President Obama believes South Carolina is a real chance for him and his liberal allies to gain another voice in the House. If they win this seat, they will be one more step closer to cementing his liberal legacy with a Democratic House in 2014—which Obama has stated is his number one goal.
