4 Democrats Who Don’t Think Washington Has a Spending Problem

April 9, 2013

President Obama rolls out his budget two months late tomorrow. It will reflect one key belief of the Democrats: they believe Washington does not have a spending problem.

Instead of cutting spending on billions in Washington waste, Democrats refuse to control spending because they think it’s not a problem. Here are four of the most powerful Democrats in America who think this:

1. Barack Obama tells Speaker Boehner that “We don’t have a spending problem.”

2. Nancy Pelosi says “It is almost a false argument to say that we have a spending problem.”

3. Steny Hoyer thinks “The country has a paying-for problem.”

4. Tom Harkin puts his thoughts bluntly: “Is it a spending problem? No.”
