Carol, You Cannot Be Serious?!

May 9, 2013

MAC MemeThis is starting to get ridiculous. In January, Carol Shea-Porter voted against the “No Budget, No Pay Act,” which would prevent Members of Congress from getting paid until they passed a budget. That bill received overwhelming bi-partisan support in the House and Senate, and the President eventually signed it into law.

Carol Shea-Porter? She voted against it because she needed to get paid.

Well, Carol has gone and done it again. Today there was a vote on an amendment to prohibit the Treasury from borrowing above the debt limit to pay for compensation for Members of Congress. The amendment passed by a vote of 340-84, with 111 Democrats joining 229 Republicans.

Carol Shea-Porter? Once again, she voted against bi-partisan agreement and for her own wallet.

CAROL, YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS?!

“Today Carol Shea-Porter continued her quest to become the most out-of-touch Member of Congress, voting against virtually every bipartisan bill so that she can please her boss Nancy Pelosi. Shea-Porter once again showed that she could care less about reducing debt and improving the economy of New Hampshire and is far more interested in making sure that she gets her Congressional paycheck. Pathetic.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
