Obama’s Approval Rating Drops, As Doubts About Trust Linger
As President Obama is traveling to Northern Ireland for this week’s G-8 Summit, he’s receiving some bad news at home.
A CNN poll out this morning shows a precipitous drop in his approval ratings. Just 45 percent of respondents approve of the job he’s doing—as opposed to 53 percent just one month ago.
What’s striking about the drop, however, is what seems to be causing it.
The poll showed a large dip in whether or not respondents believe President Obama is trustworthy and honest. 49 percent view him as such, as compared with 58 percent last month.
Over the last few months, the string of scandals affecting the Obama administration has severely hurt is credibility with the American people.
Because of their actions, the American people are losing faith in the Obama administration and fast.
This morning, CNN said it best when they reported Obama’s approval rating is “dropping like a stone.”
