Four years ago today, President Obama took to the podium to pressure Congress into supporting his job-killing national energy tax known as “cap-and-trade.”

It’s an unhappy reminder of a scheme that even President Obama admitted would cause electricity rates to “necessarily skyrocket.”

Now, Obama is ready to introduce new regulations that will increase energy costs and stifle job creation.

President Obama can try and resurrect more schemes like cap-and-trade that will raise prices for consumers and hurt economic growth, but the verdict was delivered four years ago when his plan passed a Democrat House, but was subsequently ignored by a Democrat Senate.
