NFL To ObamaCare: “Thanks, But No Thanks”

July 1, 2013

We’ve been tracking the negotiations between the government and sports leagues and Hollywood stars to help promote ObamaCare.

With numerous polls showing the law quickly becoming a full-on PR debacle for the White House, they’re getting increasingly desperate. What better way than to have multi-millionaires telling middle-class folks that paying $3,000 more in premiums isn’t so bad after all.

Last week, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the government and the NFL were “enthusiastically engaged” in talks.

Yet today, the LA Times reported that NFL has finally taken a pass in promoting the law.

Better luck next time, Secretary Sebelius. But hey, I hear Alex Rodriguez isn’t doing anything right now…
