When Barack Obama Promised He Wouldn’t Let Detroit Go Bankrupt
Remember this? President Barack Obama promised voters on the campaign trail in October 2012 that he wouldn’t let Detroit go bankrupt.
President Obama: “When Gov. Romney said we should just let Detroit go bankrupt, we said thanks but no thanks.” #MadeInAmerica

We haven’t forgotten that, Mr. President.
So imagine our surprise when we saw the news last night that Detroit was filing for bankruptcy, the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history. Turns out that was just another empty slogan from your campaign.
While the voters are starting to realize that President Obama and the Democrats simply aren’t living up to their promises, House Republicans are fighting everyday to get our budget under control, cut spending, and reduce the debt.
