Retired Firefighter Philip from Oklahoma Can’t Afford His Health Insurance
September 23, 2013
“I am a retired firefighter with disabilities. Now that Obamacare is being implemented, the premium has risen again so now my coverage has went from just under $500 to just over $700 dollars per month. When I had to retire after taxes and healthcare, I received $1200 dollars a month. Now I get a whole $1000 dollars a month to live on and I still have to pay a copay and deductible at the doctors and pharmacy, so really it hasn’t done me any good at all. So I will be making the decision to eat, or pay for healthcare to keep from being fined by the IRS.”
