New NRCC Web Video: Stop the Games, Harry Reid

Faced with Obama’s Shutdown, House has Passed Bipartisan Legislation to Fund Critical Government Services; Time for Senate to Act

The National Republican Congressional Committee released a new web video today that calls on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to stop blocking bipartisan legislation that funds critical government services in the face of Obama’s shutdown. The White House may be rooting for the shutdown, telling reporters that they are “winning” as Americans suffer, but while President Obama and Harry Reid play political games, the House has acted.

“The White House and Senate Democrats are continuing to play partisan politics with the lives of the American people and their families, and like Speaker John Boehner said earlier this week, ‘this isn’t some damn game,’” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “It’s time that President Obama and his liberal allies take responsibility for the votes they took against women, children, our veterans and their families. It’s time for the Senate to act and stop playing games with the American people.”
