NRCC Chairman Greg Walden’s Statement on Bradley Byrne Becoming the GOP Nominee for Alabama’s 1st Congressional District
National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) released the following statement this evening regarding Bradley Byrne’s nomination in the Republican runoff contest for Alabama’s 1st Congressional District:
“Voters in Alabama have spoken and congratulations are in order for Bradley Byrne as the victor in Alabama’s Republican runoff election. This district has a history of sending talented and effective Republican legislators to Washington, and I have every confidence that Bradley will carry on that tradition of excellence by winning the general election next month.
“I look forward to working with him to reduce wasteful federal spending and hold Washington accountable. With so many challenges facing our country, we need leaders like Bradley who stand up for his constituents, work in a constructive way and solve problems.
