NRCC Chairman Greg Walden’s Statement on Rep. Steve Daines’ Senate Candidacy Announcement

National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) released the following statement today after Rep. Steve Daines’ (R-MT) announcement that he will be running for Senate in 2014:

“As a fifth-generation Montanan, Steve knows firsthand which issues and concerns affect the lives of his constituents and their communities. Since his election to Congress, Steve has been a consistently strong voice in his fight against Washington’s financially irresponsible policies, like ObamaCare or the burdensome EPA regulations that have been placed on Montana families.  He has proven to be a reliable voice for his state and his constituents, and I am grateful for his service.
