Marje from Brea, CA and Her Son Are Struggling With Insurance Costs Each Month

“My son has Autism, he’s 19. We are fighting to place him on disability but they say we are a year or more away from seeing a judge. In the mean time, his medical that was free is now charging him 392.00 per month. My total family income is 1368.00 per month. When we went to social services about this they looked at my son and said ‘pay it’ if you don’t ‘you will be taxed up to 795.00’ if you don’t pay taxes ‘it’s tax evasion and you WILL go to jail’.
