Martha Robertson and the Democratic Socialists of America Sing for Single Payer!
It has been another rough week for Martha Robertson’s flailing Congressional campaign. First there was this Roll Call article packed with interesting tidbits from Martha, like how she admitted to raising taxes every year on the Tomkins County legislature or how she thinks families should fill up their gas tanks and heat their homes with her favorite fuel – “conservation.”
Then the news started to come in on Martha’s support for a Canadian-style single payer health care system where everyone would be forced off their insurance and required to purchase the government plan. First the Buffalo News reported on it and last night WETM News ran the story. This is obviously not the kind of publicity Martha wants in the wake of Obamacare’s disastrous implementation.
Of course, while Martha may try and hide from her record, her support for single-payer is more than just a one-time statement. It is consistent and devoted. Check out this video of Martha Robertson on the single payer system. That video was released by, no joke, the Ithaca branch of Democratic Socialists of America.
Well, at least we know who is supporting Martha’s extreme views.
