A NH Small Business Owner Who Was Touted By The White House Just Lost Her Employer-Sponsored Insurance

November 26, 2013

The White House has just four days left until its self-imposed deadline to fix HealthCare.gov (which, let’s face it, they aren’t going to make.) In the meantime, CBS notes, another promise by the White House isn’t holding up: people who get their health insurance through their employer ARE losing their coverage.

Nancy Clark, a New Hampshire small business owner who was touted by the White House last year as a beneficiary of ObamaCare, has just found out that ObamaCare is raising her insurance rates by 39% next year. That’s a $30,000 increase for her business.

In a painful turn of events that millions of Americans are also experiencing, Clark went to HealthCare.gov to find a replacement, only to be locked out of the system thanks to all its glitches.

Another small business owner, Betsy Atkinson from Virginia Beach, recently found out that ObamaCare cancelled her company’s health care plan because it does not meet the law’s requirements. Her business can’t afford the a plan that does.

Remember when Press Secretary Jay Carney assured Americans with employer-sponsored health coverage that “there is no change for you?” We do.
