This Is Why House Republicans Have A Bigger Home-Field Advantage Than The Seattle Seahawks
137.6 decibels.
That’s louder than a rock concert, sandblasting, or a motorcycle.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, that’s the loudest Seattle’s CenturyLink Field has gotten during a game.
The stadium is known throughout the NFL for being deafening loud and giving the Seahawks a home-field advantage unlike any other.
Come Sunday, when they face off with the San Francisco 49ers (Nancy Pelosi’s hometown team), a slot in the Super Bowl will be at stake. But the advantage provided by Century Link and the fans in Seattle will only make it harder for Colin Kaepernick and his crew to call plays.
See for yourself…
Home-field advantage is a very real thing. Granted, it certainly can’t win games on its own, but it can make things easier, or at least harder for your opponent.
Republicans feel very the same way about many seats opening up this November. Over the past month, several Democrats have stepped aside in districts that will be very competitive.
- Jim Matheson – 67% voted for Romney
- Mike McIntyre – 59% voted for Romney
With Democrats leaving Washington left and right, Republicans are on offense in new seats and are opening the playing field just as the new year gets underway. That’s not even mentioning how we’re charging ahead with strong challengers in seats held by Democrats that are simply out-of-step with their districts.
But it’s not just open seats that have us encouraged for the year ahead, Republicans are on the right side of the issues as well.
On the top of that list is ObamaCare. Debbie Wasserman Schultz famously said all Democrats would run on it. When, in fact, they’re trying their best to run FROM it.
The Democrats’ support for a law that is raising premiums, kicking people off their current plans (even when they promised it wouldn’t), and making it harder for folks to earn is living will be a focal point of the upcoming elections.
We’re not going to let them get away with their broken promises.
Aside from ObamaCare, Republicans have been the only ones in Washington pushing for a balanced budget that reduces spending and doesn’t mortgage our children’s futures. We’ve also worked every single day to create jobs by empowering small business and growing our middle class.
This combination of both issues and electoral landscape puts in on the right path to grow our majority come November.
Seattle may be loud, but I still like our chances.
