8 Questions for Nancy Pelosi’s New Friend in Pennsylvania’s 6th District
January 31, 2014
Apparently Republican Democrat Congressional candidate Michael Parrish is somewhat insecure about his political flip-flopping. Certainly he expected this when he decided last month to switch from being a lifetime Republican to a Democrat so that he could run for Congress against Jim Gerlach. One has to wonder whether he would have made the switch if he knew that Congressman Gerlach was retiring.
But in any event, since Parrish donated thousands of dollars to John McCain, Mitt Romney, Tom Corbett and other Republican committees and candidates, he should be able to understand that folks are a little confused about whether his political philosophies – and dare I say POLITICAL soul – are for sale to the highest bidder or best opportunity.
That being said, perhaps Parrish can clear up some of this confusion by answering a few of these suggested questions:
1. You donated $1000 to Mitt Romney in his 2012 campaign for the Presidency. Romney promised that repealing Obamacare would be his first act as President. Did you support that policy then and do you support it now?
2. Since you became a Democrat last month, you have scheduled a fundraiser with Nancy Pelosi. Do you agree with Pelosi that Obamacare’s implementation has been “fabulous?”
3. Do you plan on voting for Pelosi for Speaker of the House?
4. Do you agree with Pelosi that the United States does not have a spending problem?
5. Do you agree with Pelosi that there are no more spending cuts to make?
6. What parts of Romney’s platform for President did you agree with and what parts of Obama’s platform for President did you agree with? Please be specific.
7. You claim that the Republicans’ actions leading up to the government shutdown made you decide to become a Democrat. Have you considered switching back to Republican after Obamacare caused millions to lose their health insurance, their doctors, coverage of their choice, and deal with higher premiums and deductibles?
8. Who will you be supporting for Governor of Pennsylvania?
