Martha Robertson Lies to Supporters and the Media

February 10, 2014

Can anyone really trust anything Democrat Martha Robertson has to say?

First, Martha Robertson misled her supporters on September 30, 2013 when she sent out a false email claiming that GOP ops hacked her website.

Then, she backed off that claim and told Roll Call that she would hire a cyber security firm to see who hacked her website.

Well now it looks like Martha was selling Roll Call a bill of goods. WETM confirmed last night that Martha’s story to Roll Call was more deception – she never hired a cyber security firm and has no plans to do so.

Legal Insurrection also reports it here.

So Martha has now been dishonest with her supporters and the media – how can voters be sure she won’t try and pull the wool over their eyes too?

NRCC Comment: “Martha Robertson was completely dishonest to her supporters when she raised thousands of dollars off a phony email that falsely claimed that ‘GOP ops’ had ‘hacked her website.’ To make matters worse, she avoided talking about her deception for months by misleading the media into thinking that she was actually investigating her bogus claim. Voters in the 23rd District are right to be wondering whether they can ever trust anything Robertson has to say.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
