7 Questions for Dan Maffei’s Town Hall Meeting

May 13, 2014

Raised Hands

So Dan Maffei is hosting a rare town hall meeting tonight at 6:00 pm. Now that he is out of hiding, it’s time that he answer some questions that he has thus far been able to avoid. Here are a few (for now):1

1. Now that he has seen the devastating effects of Obamacare in Central New York, does he regret voting for the law?

2. If he does regret voting for Obamacare, why does he keep voting to keep it in place?

3. Did he actually read Obamacare before he voted for it, or was he of the mind that we needed to pass it to find out what was in it?

4. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz said that she believes that her candidates can run and win by talking about Obamacare. Given that she just headlined a fundraiser for Maffei, has he promised Wasserman-Schultz that he will run on Obamacare?

5. What parts of Obamacare would Maffei keep and what parts would he get rid of?

6. Will he vote for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House like he did in 2009 and 2013?

7. What kind of message does it send to struggling families in his district when he buys a $700,000 second home in Washington D.C.?

We’ll be waiting for his answers as will Central New York families.

NRCC Comment: “Now that Dan Maffei has finally come out of hiding he owes Central New Yorkers an explanation for his actions in Washington. Maffei can start by telling voters why he voted for Obamacare without reading it, whether he regrets voting for it now that its implementation has been a disaster, and what he plans to do about the law now that it is causing so much havoc for hard working families and small businesses in his district.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
