While Obama Fundraises In California For Julia Brownley, Is She Going To Explain Her Bad Vote To Defend ObamaCare Fraud?
While vulnerable Democrat Julia Brownley is eagerly awaiting the cash that President Obama will be raising for her and the DCCC today in Los Altos Hills, here’s a quick flashback.
Brownley voted NO on HR 2775, a bill that would have put systems in place to prevent people from fraudulently receiving ObamaCare subsidies.
In light of that vote, Brownley probably didn’t like seeing this headline in the Washington Post this morning: “Federal undercover investigation signs up fake applicants for ACA coverage, subsidies.“
So now, even Obama’s own administration is starting to wake up to this issue. But we have one question: Why did Brownley vote no? Why?
It’s pretty clear Julia Brownley is too afraid to take a stand and hold the Obama Administration accountable for its own laws. After all, she wouldn’t want to risk that Obama/Pelosi cash flow to her struggling campaign!
NRCC Comment: “Julia Brownley chose to defend ObamaCare back in September by voting against a bipartisan bill that would have prevented people from fraudulently receiving subsidies. Now, with stories of fraud bubbling to the surface, the chickens are coming home to roost. With Obama in California today raising money for her struggling campaign, Brownley owes the voters of Ventura County an explanation as to why she chose to defend ObamaCare and leave it untouched, instead of holding the White House accountable for its healthcare law.” – Andrew Clark, NRCC Digital Press Secretary
