Why did Brad Ashford oppose a balanced budget?

Yesterday, Brad Ashford hypocritically voted against a balanced budget, despite making that very issue a central part of his 2014 campaign.

Unbelievably, Ashford also voted against every other budget proposal, leaving his constituents completely voiceless in the budgeting process.

Instead of taking a stand, Ashford chose to play politics and endorse the status quo. Ashford has shown he would rather take the safe political route than keep his campaign promises to 2^nd District families.
