Questions for Brad Schneider’s 2016 campaign

April 2, 2015

Ahead of Brad Schneider’s official announcement about his 2016 bid for Congress today, here are a few questions Schneider needs to answer:

  •  Facing a potentially bloody and costly primary, will Schneider be able to raise enough money to make it through a competitive primary and run a legitimate general election campaign in the expensive Chicago media market?
  • Will Schneider come clean about his personal taxes after playing a game of “Peek-a-boo Paperwork” with reporters last year? Schneider only released a summary of his 2013 returns after suddenly changing his filing status.
  • After being a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi’s liberal agenda, how will Schneider attempt to outrun his “partisan record” from his time in Congress?
  • Will Schneider continue to run “dirty” campaigns in his attempt to get back to Congress at all costs?
  • Will Schneider finally explain why he invested in Rio Tinto, a company with ties to Iran?

NRCC Comment: “Brad Schneider’s liberal record and deceptive campaign tactics cost him his job in 2014 and will undoubtedly come back to haunt him again. Schneider did his best to stonewall voters and members of the press about his personal finances and partisan record, and it’s time for him to come clean.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
