Why is Lon Johnson campaigning with self-described “democratic socialist” Bernie Sanders?

So we already know that liberal MI-01 candidate Lon Johnson just adores Barack Obama and his disastrous policies that have been roundly rejected by MI-01 voters.  But is Lon Johnson now moving further to the left in his campaign for Congress by supporting self-described “democratic socialist” Bernie Sanders?

We only ask because Lonnie is bragging on Facebook about attending a Bernie Sanders campaign event last night in Traverse City.  Does this mean that Johnson thinks the extreme liberal positions of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton aren’t liberal enough?  Did Johnson endorse Sanders?  Is Hillary going to be mad at Lonnie once she finds out he’s been attending events with her even more liberal opponent?
