Will the DCCC finally come clean for their part in illegal scheme?

September 14, 2015

guiltydogIn case you missed today’s news out of Miami, Jeffery Garcia was sentenced to 8 months of house arrest and 2 years of probation for funding a fake tea party candidate in the 2010 elections against then-Rep. Joe Garcia.  The point of the fake candidate, Roly Arrojo, was to siphon votes away from Joe Garcia’s Republican challenger.  Arrojo was also sentenced to 6 months of house arrest and one year of probation.

That brings us to the DCCC.  As reported by the Miami Herald, the DCCC sent out mailers on behalf of Arrojo for being the true conservative in the race who was a Washington outsider.  “The point of the three mailers – whose combined costs could have exceeded $30,000 — was clear: siphon votes from Republican David Rivera to help Garcia.”

So now that more dominos have fallen, will the DCCC finally come clean?

NRCC Comment:  “The DCCC must think the people of South Florida are naive if they really expect them to believe their organization had no part in the illegal scheme to fix the 2010 FL-25 congressional election.  At this point, the only questions that remain are whether the DCCC will finally come clean and whether they will visit Garcia and Arrojo during their lengthy house arrests for the three’s shady political tactics.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
