Rick Nolan just can’t help himself
Rick Nolan just can’t help himself. Even when both parties come together to draft a bipartisan NDAA bill authorizing funding for our troops and their families, Rick Nolan can’t bring himself to vote for our men and women in uniform.
It doesn’t matter to him that the bill allows a 1.3% pay increase for military personnel. Or that it provides new protections for victims of military sexual assaults. It doesn’t even matter that the bill ensures information about mental health and suicide prevention services is provided to all active-duty service members and directs the Defense department to develop a policy to coordinate with nongovernmental suicide prevention organizations.
Rick Nolan’s views on national security are so extreme that he opposed this vital, bipartisan bill that passed by an overwhelming 370-58 margin. Add this to the long list of votes that puts Nolan on the wrong side of so many national security issues.
