How Melissa Gilbert can pay her back taxes…tax free!

According to tax delinquent Melissa Gilbert’s FEC disclosure report, she’s received tens of thousands of dollars from Hollywood folk for her campaign for Congress in MI-08.  That got us thinking – if Gilbert’s tinseltown pals are willing to flush tens of thousands of dollars down the toilet by contributing to her pipedream congressional campaign, why can’t they help her pay back the $472,000 she owes in back taxes?

As a sweetener, we even came up with a way for Gilbert to avoid paying taxes on any contributions made by her fellow Hollywood elite.  The IRS only taxes gifts over $14,000.  That means if all of Gilbert’s Hollywood friends were to throw in a quick $14k, she would only need to shake down 34 movie stars.
