NRCC Chairman Greg Walden’s Statement on Rep. Jeff Miller’s Retirement

National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden today issued the following statement regarding Rep. Jeff Miller’s retirement announcement:

“Congressman Jeff Miller has been a trusted voice for his North Florida constituents and his leadership will be sorely missed in the House of Representatives. Jeff has been a fierce protector of our nation’s veterans as the Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, and his successor will have very large shoes to fill.

“While I will miss seeing Jeff in Congress, I am happy he will have more time to spend with his wife, Vicki, and his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. I am fully confident that Florida’s First Congressional District will remain in Republican control in November as House Republicans continue Jeff’s fight to protect our veterans and holding the VA accountable.”
