Emilio Huerta Raises Little, Spends A Lot In CA-21
July 18, 2016
After Q2 fundraising number were released, it is painfully apparent why national Democrats (unsuccessfully) recruited multiple other candidates before reluctantly settling on Emilio Huerta. Some key stats:
$57,473 – Huerta’s unbelievably low cash on hand.
97.9% – Huerta’s burn rate in the July Quarterly FEC report. This means Huerta spent nearly all the funds he raised.
$1,245,640 – David Valadao’s massive cash on hand advantage over Huerta.
Despite full support for national Democrats, Huerta’s abysmal Q2 numbers call into questions just how credible of a candidate he is.
NRCC Comment: “Emilio Huerta’s pathetic fundraising numbers only underscore why Democrats looked everywhere else before reluctantly settling on him. Even with the full support of Nancy Pelosi and Bay Area liberals, Huerta is badly losing the cash race in the 21st District.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
