Brad Ashford Missing As Hillary Comes To Omaha
Despite being an early endorser and co-chair of Hillary Clinton’s Nebraska operation, Brad Ashford will be absent today as the Democratic nominee campaigns in Omaha. While he has fully embraced Clinton’s far-left agenda, Ashford knows that she is toxic in the GOP-leaning district he represents and is trying in vain to distance himself.
Ashford’s fear of being seen with Clinton makes sense: the more voters see Clinton, the less they like her. Nationally, her approval ratings have nosedived since announcing her campaign and a new CNN poll shows that 65% of Americans do not find Clinton to be honest or trustworthy. Ashford can hightail it out of town, but he won’t be able to escape the toxicity of Clinton’s candidacy in November.
