BREAKING: The Steve Santarsiero-supported Iran Deal allows for “weapons-grade uranium”

September 1, 2016

iranNews keeps getting worse regarding the Iran nuclear deal that Steve Santarsiero pledged to work with if he were somehow elected to Congress. Reuters is now reporting that the deal includes secret exemptions that allows Iran to exceed limits on how much low-enriched uranium it can keep at its nuclear facilities which can be purified into highly enriched, weapons-grade uranium.

This is just the latest in a series of shocking revelations on the Iran Deal that Santarsiero has pledged to work with.

  • In January, John Kerry admitted that some of the sanctions relief will fund terrorism.
  • In March, Iran began test-firing ballistic missiles with “Israel should be wiped off the Earth” written on the side, as the State Department admitted that the nuclear deal did not address ballistic missile tests.
  • In July, a secret document was revealed that showed that key restrictions under the deal would be lifted even before its expiration.
  • In August, the Obama administration admitted that it made a $400 million ransom payment to Iran for the release of U.S. hostages, setting a dangerous precedent for future dealings with the nation.

NRCC Comment: “Steve Santarsiero says he would not fight in Congress to block the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal. Voters should be alarmed that Steve Santarsiero would not actively fight against expediting Iran’s path to securing a nuclear bomb.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
