Does Pete Gallego think having 5 bills signed into law is “getting things done in Washington?”
Last week, President Obama signed Will Hurd’s 5th bill into law. An impressive feat for any lawmaker, but especially a freshman. Additionally, Hurd has had another 5 bills pass the House.
Yet Pete Gallego’s latest tv ad talks about getting “things done in Washington.” Which begs the question: does Gallego think getting 10 bills through the House and 5 of those signed into law is getting things done for the 23rd District?
Because during his time in congress Gallego had ZERO bills even pass the House, much less signed into law. ZERO.
In contrast, Hurd has had bills that reform border patrol agent pay, prevent wasteful government spending, and honor Texas’ most highly decorated WWI veteran signed into law in just his first term.
