Santarsiero’s record of turning a blind eye to Kathleen Kane’s corruption

October 24, 2016

santarsiero kaneNow that convicted felon Kathleen Kane has been sentenced to the slammer for 10-23 months for two felonies and seven misdemeanors stemming from her abuse of public office, it’s time for Steve Santarsiero to answer a few questions on his cowardice in dealing with the convicted felon.

  1. Why did it take Santarsiero 46 days after Kane’s indictment to call for her resignation when it only took him 6 days to use her indictment in his PA-08 primary campaign?
  2. Why did Santarsiero scrub his taxpayer-funded government website of photos and videos of a joint press conference with Kathleen Kane?
  3. Why was Santarsiero so quick to use Kane’s felonies in his PA-08 primary campaign when he refused to use his official position to start impeachment proceedings against Kane?

To be fair, if Santarsiero was to start impeachment proceedings against Kane, it would be dead on arrival in the State House – just like every bill that Santarsiero introduced in his 8 years as a do-nothing Harrisburg politician.

NRCC Comment: “Steve Santarsiero’s repeated refusal to take the lead on dealing with convicted felon Kathleen Kane perfectly sums up the race for Pennsylvania’s 8th District. The race is about do-nothing Harrisburg politician Steve Santarsiero, who spent a career turning a blind eye to government corruption, and Brian Fitzpatrick, who has spent his career putting corrupt politicians behind bars where they belong.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
