Money, Money, Money
This weekend the Billings Gazette did a deep dive into troubled Montana Democrat Rob Quist’s personal finances. What they found wasn’t pretty.
“Flathead County court and property records indicate the popular musician turned politician has been turned over to collections, sued by a bank after not repaying a loan and accused of fraud and deceit by a former member of Mission Mountain Wood Band, the group that vaulted Quist to Montana stardom in the 1970s.”
Not to mention: “Financial records filed with the U.S. House also show that Quist has reported drawing a salary from his campaign…”
So Rob Quist made such a mess of his own finances he’s having his Daily Kos campaign contributors reimburse him for his hard work on the campaign trail, huh? Here’s a relevant question: if Rob Quist’s personal finances are such a mess, how can he look Montana voters in the eye and ask them to trust him with their hard-earned taxpayer money?
