NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers’ Statement On GA-06 Special Election Results
National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Steve Stivers released the following statement regarding tonight’s special election results in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District:
“Congratulations to Karen Handel for becoming the Republican nominee in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District,” said NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers.
“Republicans are united and ready to do everything we can to elect Karen to Congress. Even as Nancy Pelosi, national Democrats, and even Hollywood stars threw everything they had behind Jon Ossoff, he failed miserably to meet his own expectations—an outright win tonight. Democrats would not stop talking about their efforts, but they failed to yield results.”
“I’d also like to thank President Trump, Vice President Pence, Speaker Ryan, Chairwoman McDaniel, and all those in our party who came together to motivate and energize Georgia Republicans.”
