“fight for the truth”
May 3, 2017
Rob Quist is out with a new ad today promising to “fight for the truth.”
That’s pretty ironic, given that Quist can’t stop lying about his own disastrous record. Here are some things he’s been caught blatantly lying about in just the past two months:
- Quist underreported his income for 2016, failing to report an additional $57,000 until media inquiries forced him to file an amended statement.
- Quist failed to pay taxes for nearly a decade.
- Quist claimed to be too sick to work and pay his taxes, but played 35 shows in just one of those years.
- Quist stiffed a Montana small business owner and was sued by a former bandmate for fraud.
- Quist performed at a nudist resort with his daughter while claiming to be too sick to work and pay taxes.
- Quist flip-flopped on which surgery he claims incapacitated him.
- Quist claimed to be an avid sportsman, but hasn’t had a hunting or fishing license since electronic records began in 2002.
- Quist claimed to represent “rural Montana” but aligns with Nancy Pelosi, advocating for a national gun registry and government-run healthcare.
“Rob Quist is a serial liar whose promise to ‘fight for the truth’ is just another charade. Quist’s campaign is in panic mode as his unceasing lies and misrepresentations show he is deeply unfit to represent Montana in office.” -NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol
