I would be scared too

It appears Dorothy McAuliffe didn’t like her chances against Barbara Comstock and decided not to run for Congress.

Rewind to 5 days ago when she said she was seriously considering it – with one caveat. If she didn’t think she could beat Comstock, she wouldn’t do it.

John Frederick: “Ok, so if you’re the nominee, then you have to go up against Republican Barbara Comstock, one of the most prolific fundraisers in the history of the world, and everybody says she can’t be beat. She’s wiped out two Democratic opponents now straight – how do you beat her?”

Dorothy McAuliffe: “Well, and this is all part of my calculation, correct? That I wouldn’t want to enter the race unless I believed I could win…she has been very effective at getting reelected, and so, part of the calculation is what would it take to win…”

Looks like polls show that Barbara Comstock is an effective representative for her constituents. I wonder if the same pollsters are helping out Jennifer Wexton and the DCCC…?
