Karen Handel delivered a major win last night. Republicans are now 4/4 in Special Election victories.

Now let’s take a quick walk down memory lane. For months, Democrats have been saying that GA-06 is a must-win race. Some examples…

Bernie Sanders: “Let me be very clear. It is imperative that Jon Ossoff be elected congressman from Georgia’s 6th District and that Democrats take back the U.S. House.”

Tom Perez: “If we go all-in and elect Jon, we’ll turn Georgia’s 6th district blue…and send a big, loud message to Donald and the Republicans who are backing him that Democrats are fired up and ready to fight.”

New Democrat Network:  “…it’s critical that rank-and-file Democrats feel like the [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee] left it all on the playing field.”

Ossoff was referred to as a “near ideal candidate” and others said he was someone who could “demonstrate the strength of the anti-Trump resistance.”

Yet – despite, raising a record $25 million – democrats woke up this morning to several headlines highlighting the fact that moral victories get zero votes in Congress.
