NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers: After Big GA-06 Loss, Clear Dems Cannot Win Under Pelosi’s Leadership

June 22, 2017

National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Steve Stivers today appeared on Fox News Radio Show Kilmeade and Friends to discuss the Republican victory in GA-06 and the repeated failures of the Democratic Party.

BRIAN KILMEADE: I really think his soul-searching going on board now after these special elections and then after the general on November 8th. Do you agree?

NRCC CHAIRMAN STEVE STIVERS: I absolutely agree Brian that the Democrats put all their eggs in one basket in Georgia’s 6th District. They spent 33 million dollars, threw the kitchen sink at us in a district where the president won by one point and came they away empty-handed. Karen Handel won by over 4 points, almost 5 points, on Tuesday. And they had no idea we worked, we looked at our data and believed that our voters were coming out. And kept telling everybody we’re going to win it, but it was going to be close. The Democrats, I think, thought we were just spouting hyperbole, but we actually were talking about data-driven information about our voters being excited to come out by issues that matter to them, getting our economy moving, rebuilding infrastructure and they were talking about distractions. They have no message. They have some leadership, but their leadership is toxic in many parts of America and…I guess I’ll quote one of their members who said they can’t take the House majority with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.
