Dried up
Vulnerable House Democrats doubled down on last month’s stunning betrayal of their drought-stricken constituents with another doozy tonight.
Today, Tom O’Halleran, John Garamendi, Ami Bera, Salud Carbajal, Raul Ruiz, and Scott Peters stood against making more water available in Arizona and California communities. Specifically, these Members stood AGAINST:
- Implementing solutions to alleviate the effects of a 6-year drought crisis where in some places the cost of water soared by 71 percent
- Protecting the livelihoods of farmers who depend on water rights to grow and sell crops
- Giving agencies flexibility during emergencies to address a drought crisis
“It’s truly sad that Democrats continue to put the wishes of Nancy Pelosi and radical environmentalists ahead of fixing the very real water crisis impacting their constituents. These Members will be held responsible for their failure to represent drought-afflicted families who are fed up with soaring water prices and increasing scarcity of this vital resource.” -NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol
