Pelosi Is Either Left-Out or Lying

Nancy Pelosi claimed Democratic campaigns don’t conduct opposition research on their political opponents.

But in stark contrast to her claim, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s FEC filings reveal the DCCC paid two opposition research firms $15,000 each in the month of June alone.

Either Nancy Pelosi has been left-out of her own party’s strategy or she is plainly dishonest.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told reporters on Thursday that campaigns do not conduct opposition research all the time, however FEC fillings from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) tell a different story.

A reporter asked Pelosi whether Donald Trump Jr.’s claim that campaigns conduct opposition research all the time is true.

“That’s not true,” Pelosi told the reporter. “We all do our own research about where we differ with other people on issues and votes that they have taken and the rest, so opposition research is done by the campaign.’

However, the DCCC’s FEC filing for June tells a different story, as the committee paid out $30,000 to outside research firms for their work.

According to the filing, the DCCC paid VR Research and Nesbitt Research, two self-described opposition research firms, $15,000 each in the month on June alone.
