the new Ossoffs

Rewind to the GA-06 Special Election real quick….remember when Jon Ossoff raised barely any money from inside his district and it was a major campaign issue?

Now a Roll Call review of FEC data has found that quite a few Democrats are going by Ossoff’s playbook. Apparently, Democrats have learned absolutely nothing from their devastating loss in Georgia. They have better things to do, and better deals to make.

Among the candidates raising boatloads of money in California, New York, and DC, are two Virginians running against Barbara Comstock – who raises boatloads of money in Virginia, where she represents.

From Roll Call on Comstock’s opponents: “…two of them are among the challengers who have raised the least money from inside their districts.

“Former congressional staffer Alison Friedman, who worked for former California Rep. Jane Harman, worked against human trafficking in the nonprofit world and at the State Department. She raised about $29,000 from the 10th District.”

(She raised $357k out-of-state)

“Army veteran Daniel Helmer, also challenging Comstock, raised $32,000 from inside the district.”

(He raised $273k out-of-state)
