painted into a corner
The Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s gathering in Harrisburg over the weekend probably has Chrissy Houlahan feeling a little perturbed.
Following an ironic lecture on how to win elections from failed U.S. Senate candidate Jason Kander, Pennsylvania Democrats sent a clear message to their candidates by passing a resolution in favor of single-payer healthcare…
That’s bad news for Houlahan, who has spent the entirety of her campaign avoiding policy questions – especially those focused on the socialist pipe-dream known as single-payer:
Via Politics PA: “Houlahan did not take a position on single-payer, instead she left the door open to either side of the issue.”
Via Philly Magazine: “But when I ask Houlahan which policies she supports, she responds with 42 words that could mean literally anything”
And just last week, Houlahan admitted that she had no plans to take a position before her campaign ends:
Via Philly Citizen: “As a pragmatist and a businesswoman, I’ll take a look at conditions when I’m elected…”
After spending the first six months of her substance-free campaign stonewalling voters, will Chrissy Houlahan stand with Pennsylvania Democrats by supporting single-payer healthcare?
