Ron Kind is protecting gang members?
September 14, 2017
Ron Kind likes to fly under the radar, but folks deserve an explanation for this one.
Kind just voted against speeding the deportation of criminal gang members (including MS-13) and preventing gang members from exploiting immigration benefits reserved for those seeking asylum.
As it stands, members of MS-13 can obtain special immigrant juvenile visas – and being a member of a violent street gang does not currently make them inadmissible or deportable.
The bill does not apply to U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals, and preserves their right to due process.
So the question has to be asked…
Why did Ron Kind vote to protect violent gang members from deportation?
