they voted against deporting gang members?
September 14, 2017
In a decision that defies common sense, vulnerable California Democrats Ami Bera and Scott Peters today voted against passage of H.R. 3697, the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act.
Bera & Peters’ vote against this common-sense legislation is a vote AGAINST:
- speeding deportation of criminal gang members, particularly members of MS-13
- barring gang members of violent criminal organizations from exploiting benefits reserved for immigrants seeking asylum
“In a border state like California, it’s just common sense to support strong protections for families against brutal criminal gangs like MS-13. Clearly, Democrats are dangerously out-of-touch with Californians who want to feel safe in their own communities – they must be held accountable for their vote.” -NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol
